Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory invites applications for the Summer Research Program Intern in Tactical Satellite Communications. The intern will participate in design, analysis, modeling, and simulation for next-generation SATCOM systems, applying concepts from information theory, signal processing, and machine learning.

The candidate should be pursuing an EE or CS degree (PhD/MS/BS) and have skills in C/C++ and/or Java, with knowledge of database design, GUI development, and XML.

Qualifications

• Pursuing PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Ability to work with abstract concepts.
• Experience or coursework in C/C++ and/or Java.
• Knowledge of database design, GUI development, and XML is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engage in design, analysis, modeling, and/or simulation for future wireless SATCOM systems.
• Work with signal processing, information theory, and/or algorithm development.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers in a national security context.
