Job summary

Invenergy is offering a Summer 2027 Internship across its engineering teams in Chicago. Interns will assist in the technical design, evaluation, and construction of wind, solar, BESS, and transmission projects. Exposure to GIS, CAD, PVSyst, and SAM will be provided through hands-on tasks and cross-functional teamwork.

Interns will participate in site visits, community outreach, and networking events, gaining knowledge of renewable energy concepts and project development processes.

Qualifications

• Internship across engineering departments focusing on technical design, evaluation, and construction of projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project constraints and design layouts using GIS to maximize value.
• Design site measurement campaigns and analyze meteorological datasets.
• Model energy production and key metrics for wind, solar, and storage projects.
• Conduct site visits and support landowner meetings and community outreach.
• Prepare conceptual project layouts using CAD and GIS; optimize layouts for value.
