Job summary

The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. in Downers Grove, IL offers a 10-week Summer Internship through Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation.

This rotational program exposes interns to fund accounting, property accounting and SEC reporting with hands-on training across accounting, financial reporting and cash flow analysis. As a junior accounting student, you will support monthly closes, prepare reports, and assist with audits while learning Yardi, Active Disclosure and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Junior at time of application.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week in Downers Grove, IL.
• Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn Yardi and Active Disclosure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining REIT books and records in Yardi per US GAAP.
• Assist in monthly close of consolidated REIT books in Yardi and Excel workbooks.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly/annual reports and variance analyses.
• Assist in supporting external audit activities during quarterly reviews.
