Job summary

The Inland Real Estate Group LLC is offering a ten-week Summer Internship at its Downers Grove, Illinois headquarters. The internship provides hands-on exposure to fund accounting, property accounting and SEC reporting within the Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation (IREIC) team.

Interns will rotate through the groups, support monthly close, reports and variance analyses, and gain practical experience with Yardi, Excel and related systems while developing real estate accounting skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Junior at time of application.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week in Downers Grove, IL.
• Strong MS Office skills; knowledge of Yardi and Active Disclosure.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist fund accounting tasks in Yardi in accordance with US GAAP.
• Assist in monthly close and supporting workbooks in Excel.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, variance analyses and management reports.
• Support external audit procedures during quarterly reviews.
