Job summary

MxV Rail offers an internship to support PTC, ILM, TCCO, and WCC programs with data analysis, test execution, and systems engineering exposure. The role emphasizes hands-on lab and field work in a rail-adjacent setting near the Rocky Mountain Front Range.

Working on a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar field is preferred; candidates will gain exposure to safety engineering, train control research, and wireless communications through diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Lab/field testing experience preferred.
• Statistics and data analysis skills (MATLAB or Python).
• Familiarity with GNSS, wireless comms, or systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support lab and field test planning and execution for onboard sensors, radios, and wireless communications applications.
• Data review and analysis of test results from PNM and onboard sensor testing.
• Support of requirements engineering for PTC, Energy Management, and Locomotive Electronics standards.
• Other duties in PTC systems and safety engineering, train control research, and wireless communications research.
• Ensure all duties are performed safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
