Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories invites summer R&D graduate interns to join the Computer Science Research Institute in Albuquerque, NM. Students will engage in collaborative research across AI, computational science, and high-performance computing, working closely with Sandia staff scientists on themed projects.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a STEM graduate program, have a bachelor's degree, a 3.0 GPA minimum, and can commit to up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Full-time spring term enrollment or upcoming graduation in a relevant field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week in summer.
• U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees or refugees.

Responsibilities

• Participate in collaborative research across computer science, applied math, AI and HPC.
• Engage with Sandia CSRI staff scientists on project-based work.
• Contribute to software development and numerical modeling for research topics.
