Job summary

Zions Bancorporation invites motivated students to join our Corporate Quantitative Analytics team as an Intern - Quantitative Modeling Analyst for the Summer of 2027. You will assist in designing and validating statistical and machine learning models, prepare datasets for forecasting, and help present results to senior management.

Your work will include writing model documentation, ensuring data quality, and leveraging tools like Python, SQL, R, and SAS on real banking problems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Python, SQL, R, SAS or similar statistical software tools.
• Knowledge of statistical and econometric modeling methods, and machine learning.
• Understanding of accounting, financial statements, and banking products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of statistical/machine learning models to support various initiatives utilizing predictive modeling
• Construct and clean datasets in preparation for analysis and use in building forecasting models
• Perform accuracy and quality checks to test model forecast results
• Write documentation that explains the process used in developing models
• Create summary reports that highlight forecasting methods and results
• Help prepare presentations for senior management
