Job summary

Susquehanna is seeking a Masters-level Quantitative Research Intern to work on models of our full-time staff and participate in a structured education program with seasoned mentors in our Philadelphia and New York offices.

You will apply probability, statistics, and machine learning to predict market behavior, build alphas, and backtest ideas using historical data while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Masters in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, OR Economics.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with ability to turn data into decisions.
• Clear communication in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Python; C++ or another low-level language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Model market behavior and generate alphas using probability, statistics, and ML techniques.
• Develop and test trading strategies in a simulated environment.
• Backtest ideas with historical data and refine strategies.
• Collaborate across teams and explore diverse quant workflows.
• Engage in a comprehensive education program with mentorship.
