Job summary

Trex Company, the world’s #1 decking and railing brand, is seeking a Quality Intern to join our Summer Internship Program. You will assist engineers and quality professionals with routine tasks, data collection, and analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited engineering program and have completed at least two semesters or be an upcoming Junior or Senior with a 3.0+ GPA.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
• Must have completed at least two semesters of coursework or be an upcoming Junior or Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and quality professionals with routine tasks, reporting, and data collection.
• Support continuous improvement quality initiatives and projects.
• Complete time studies of quality staff and implement improvements.
• Evaluate and streamline data collection storage in the quality department.
• Develop automatic reporting of quality data in real time.
• Monitor tasks and mitigate safety risks during work.
• Complete small projects as directed by quality manager or director.
