Job summary

Trex Company is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern to participate in our Summer Internship Program. You will lead and support continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing to support operational excellence.

This on-site internship involves participating in CI events (Kaizens), identifying and eliminating wastes, and assisting CI Engineers with routing tasks; you will interact with Trex engineers and production operations personnel.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited industrial, mechanical, or chemical engineering program and must have successfully completed at least two semesters of coursework with a GPA of 3.0 or above.

A Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern will lead and support continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing to support operational excellence. This includes participating in CI Events (Kaizens), identifying and eliminating wastes, and assisting CI Engineers with other routing tasks.

As an Engineering Intern you will work in an industrial environment, and you must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Interns should be comfortable using a computer and expect to interact with Trex engineers and production operations personnel.
