Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking Assistant Project Engineer Interns for its Summer Internship Program in Oklahoma City. Work on project planning and construction phases while gaining on-the-job experience on diverse building projects.

You will provide administrative and technical support, assist with RFIs, document control, submittals, cost tracking, and schedule updates, and help with daily reports and safety planning. A 3.0 GPA and related field study are required.

Qualifications

• Active, full-time Sophomore-Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and technical support to the project team.
• Assists with Request for Information (RFI), document control and management, creation and tracking of submittals, cost tracking, and schedule updates.
• Assist in summarizing important discussions, questions, and decisions raised during regular project team meetings, owner meetings, and weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Reads through and understands specification books to ensure compliance and project quality.
• Assist in updating contract drawings to reflect all approved changes and ensure trade contractor document updates.
• Assist Superintendents with daily reports and manage all progress and quality photos.
• Model safety awareness and planning at all times while observing safety practices and report any concerns to the Project Superintendent or Project Manager.
• Supports the logistics process for all safety initiatives listed in the site-specific safety plan.
