Job summary

Young World Physical Education seeks Summer Academy Youth Assistants in Bennettsville to support a fun and safe summer program for younger students (grades K–8). This role offers a chance to gain leadership experience and develop skills in communication and mentorship.

Assist in leading recreational activities and provide academic support while collaborating with instructors. The position is seasonal, running from June 4 to June 26, 2026, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old by the start date.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned school site.
• Ability to pass a standard school district background check/fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Help lead recreational games, arts and crafts, STEM projects, and team-building activities.
• Provide mentorship and academic assistance to campers, ensuring everyone feels included and supported.
• Assist lead teachers in monitoring students during classroom time, lunch, recess, and field trips.
