Job summary

Churchill seeks a junior investment analyst in Charlotte to perform quantitative and qualitative underwriting across junior capital and equity co-investments. You will assist in memoranda, monitor portfolio performance, and join due diligence with sponsors and executives.

Ideal candidates are rising juniors or seniors (Class of 2028/2029) with a finance/quant focus, strong Excel and modeling skills, and solid communication abilities. Base pay is $30.00 per hour, with competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Rising Junior or Senior (Class of 2028 or 2029) expected to graduate with a finance/quantitatively focused degree.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing facts and figures.
• Superior Excel and financial modeling skills with ability to express complex ideas clearly.
• Knowledge of middle market levered lending market preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication; ability to synthesize complex concepts.
• Proven collaboration in fast-paced, results-driven teams; leadership and negotiation aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to underwrite investment opportunities across junior capital, equity co-investment, and primary funds.
• Assist in preparing internal memoranda and materials for investment recommendations and internal communications.
• Assist with monitoring performance of existing portfolio investments.
• Participate in due diligence meetings with sponsors and portfolio company executives.
