Job summary

FHLBC, a federally chartered bank in the Federal Home Loan Bank System, invites a Summer Intern to join the Process Optimization team in Illinois. You will work on data analysis, process flows, and lean initiatives with mentors across the organization.

This internship runs May 2027 through August 2027 and targets students in Supply Chain, Business, IT, or Engineering who maintain a GPA of 3.0+ and are enrolled in a four-year program.

Qualifications

• Internship applicants must be enrolled at an accredited four-year institution.
• GPA of 3.0 or above in good academic standing.
• Preferred fields include SCM, business, IT, engineering or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support process optimization initiatives using project management, standardization, change management, and analytics.
• Create process flows and business architecture documentation.
• Collect, analyze, and present data relevant to process optimization efforts.
• Develop recommendations based on process data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to implement solutions.
• Facilitate employee training in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
