Job summary

Withum offers an internship through the Outsourced Accounting Systems and Services (OASyS) team in New Jersey. The role supports multiple client needs, including billings, reconciliations, and payroll, while gaining hands-on experience with leading software like QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto, Justworks, Xero and Excel.

We seek graduating or current students in accounting with a 3.0+ GPA and strong teamwork, communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Pursuing an accounting degree with strong academics
• Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
• Experience with accounting software as listed

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior staff to support multiple client needs
• Manage bill payments, invoicing and cash receipts
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
• Run payroll and reconcile related journal entries
• Assist with setup and implementation of new accounting systems
• Support ad hoc accounting and reporting projects (client-facing and internal)
• Communicate clearly with clients and coworkers across channels
