Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering (mining, mechanical, industrial, chemical, etc.) from an accredited university.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to think logically and communicate ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Covia safety principles including PPE and MSHA regulations.
• Gain understanding of mining processes (drilling, blasting, haulage, surveying, sampling).
• Learn grinding, flotation, drying, screening, and loading with plant leadership.
• Understand quality control, data management, and reporting for continuous improvement.
• Understand permitting, regulatory requirements, and reclamation with Environmental Supervisor.
• Assist maintenance, purchasing, scheduling, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Support salaried staff to address technical problems and participate in projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
