Job description

We are now hiring for Summer Camp Teachers for the 2025 summer season at our lovely Guidepost in the Galleria!

Our summer camps run from June to August. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles. If you are interested in Montessori or early childhood education, are a college student, want to shift away from retail, restaurants, etc., this may be the role for you!

Your Role

In this Summer Camp role, you will support our Lead Teacher in guiding children to be more independent and confident. This is a great opportunity to start your career in Montessori and early childhood education, as many of our Assistant Guides grow into Lead Guide roles through our MACTE-accredited Montessori training program.

If you are interested in a full-time role, benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K, competitive pay, and a 75% tuition discount for up to two children at our school.

We’re looking for a Summer Teacher who will bring their best to support every child in reaching their highest potential!

Guidepost Assistant Guides (teachers):

  • Observe children closely to understand and meet their needs
  • Prepare an environment that fosters independence and concentration
  • Provide individual and small-group lessons to support development
  • Form personal connections with children and cultivate a community of collaboration and respect

We would love to talk to you if you:

  • Are familiar with young children's development
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Are willing to grow and learn
  • Have a valid negative TB test (within the last 12 months) or are willing to obtain one prior to your start date
  • Have a valid CPR certification or are willing to become certified before starting
  • Are excited to learn more about Montessori Education

What we offer:

  • The chance to contribute to a high-quality Montessori program tailored to each child's needs
  • Fully sponsored Montessori diploma training and ongoing professional development through the Prepared Montessorian Institute
  • 75% tuition discount for two children at any school in our network (serving children from 3 months to 12th grade)
  • A supportive network of peers and mentors
  • Opportunities for career growth and promotion
  • Competitive pay rate ($16-18 per hour)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees
