Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation's Round Mountain mine in Nevada is seeking an entry-level engineer focused on blast engineering and short-range planning, reporting to the Chief Engineer to support daily operations and project delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and continuous learning, with duties spanning data analysis, field instrumentation, and collaboration across teams, while developing leadership within RMGC's EH&S framework.

Qualifications

Interest and ability to work on highwall design and as-built wall control parameters and/or blast design and quality control.
Ability to operate field instrumentation and return to office for data analysis and project development.
Working knowledge of PC utilities for word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of mining operations and related processes.
Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills with all levels of staff.
Ability to work independently and as part of a management team.
Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States full-time.
Driver’s license required.
Minimum of 2 years in engineering or related bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of engineering experience.
Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative.
Hard-working team player.
Responsible for managing RMGC Environmental Health and Safety Management system in their areas.
