Job summary

Murray Company in Boise, Idaho, invites students to join a summer internship in our Operations group, reporting to project managers, to gain hands-on experience in pre-construction, fabrication, and field installation for mechanical projects.

This paid internship runs 40 hours per week for 10–12 weeks, starting as early as May 2027, with typical hours Monday through Friday 7 am–4 pm. Travel to local project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a university program pursuing a Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work well in a team.
• Available to work 40 hours/week for 10 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
• Support reviews of designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Help manage project documentation (submittals, RFIs, change orders, reports).
• Participate in site visits to monitor progress and ensure specs compliance.
• Support cost estimates and budgets.
• Aid implementation of quality control measures.
• Facilitate communication among project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Assist with safety protocol implementation and compliance.
