Position: Summer Maintenance Associate

Position type: Full Time (Temporary)

Reports to: Facilities Coordinator

Employment status: Non-exempt

Position Summary

Performs general maintenance work to complete all service requests assigned by the supervisor via verbal, written, or CMMS software in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ceiling tile repair, minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, grounds maintenance, and assembling or repairing furniture and supplies.

Note: Moving and relocating heavy furniture, supplies, equipment, and deliveries are required. The school has no elevator.

Major Responsibilities

1. Clean and scrub restrooms as assigned.
2. Prepare rooms for meetings and programs.
3. Operate mechanical equipment as needed.
4. Notify supervisor of major repairs or needs related to lighting, heating, and ventilation.
5. Perform duties independently based on verbal and written instructions.

*Perform custodial tasks such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, waste disposal, window and wall cleaning, changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and shoveling/salting walks as appropriate.
