Job summary

Move Language Ahead (MLA) is seeking a part-time Lifeguard at Pitzer College in Claremont, CA. The role ensures student safety during MLA swim times and supports wellbeing under supervision of the Welfare Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid American Red Cross or YMCA lifeguard certification.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of guests in the swimming facility.
• Acts immediately to secure safety during emergencies.
• Provides emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
