Job summary

Live Oak Bank in Wilmington, NC is offering a 10-week Summer Internship for the LOE Team as a Loan Origination & Loan Servicing Intern, May 17 – July 23, 2027 at our headquarters. As an intern, you will support lending lifecycle activities, loan processing, servicing operations, and customer support, gaining hands-on exposure to banking operations and portfolio management.

Applicants pursuing a Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field, with strong communication and Excel

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking, Management, Communications, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support loan application intake and document preparation.
• Assist with loan servicing activities and customer requests.
• Maintain organized records and review documents for accuracy.
• Monitor loan pipelines and servicing queues for timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with team and contribute process-improvement ideas.
