Job summary

The ACLU’s National office in New York, NY seeks a Summer Legal Intern in the Speech, Privacy and Technology Project. The role supports litigation and advocacy, with opportunities to research, draft filings, and develop public education materials.

This internship is remote or hybrid, requires US-based law students, full-time for 10 weeks, and offers a stipend of $24/hour. Start dates May 24 or June 7.

Qualifications

• Excellent research skills using internet and legal databases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support new and active litigation projects
• Aid in drafting of legal memoranda, pleadings, affidavits, motions, and briefs
• Draft and edit public education and non-litigation advocacy materials
• Provide support and assistance to ACLU affiliates and cooperating attorneys
