Linda M. Villarreal & Associates, staff counsel for State Farm in Houston, invites a rising 3L Summer Law Intern (Class of 2028) to gain exposure to litigation and trial practice in a hybrid setting.

The internship runs June 2, 2027–August 11, 2027, with a 38.75-hour work week, $33/hour, and a $2,000 stipend. Applicants should be ABA‑accredited 2L students, top-half of their class, with strong research and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2L student enrolled in ABA-accredited law school and must remain enrolled for duration of the internship.
• 2L students in the top half of their class
• Strong research skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Exposure to litigation and trial practice working with assigned attorneys.
• Observe every phase of litigation with a designated mentor.
• Work on projects and gain real-world experience in a fast-paced environment.
