Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Land Intern to gain hands-on experience across disciplines related to land development and housing.

The program includes departmental rotations, project work, and field observations, with opportunities to contribute to research, reporting, and process improvements. Candidates are currently enrolled in a four-year college or university, pursuing related fields such as business, real estate, construction, or finance, and show a strong willingness to learn

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to the internship area (business, technology, finance, construction, real estate, etc.).
• Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within homebuilding, financial services, land development, or related functions.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or business function.
• Assist with department-specific projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination efforts, systems, processes, and other business needs.
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, business systems, policies, safety requirements, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand how various areas of the Company support homebuilding, homebuying, business operations, and the customer experience.
• Participate in training programs, meetings, rotations, and other learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of the Company and potential career paths.
• Explore career opportunities within D.R. Horton and affiliated businesses that may lead to future full-time employment after graduation.
