Job summary

Clean Harbors Grassy Mountain Landfill in Clive, UT seeks a Lab Chemist Intern for Summer 2027. This in-person internship offers hands-on experience supporting projects across environmental, energy, and industrial services, with a focus on safety and learning through mentorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of wastewater, TOC, and ICP instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority and follow all safety policies.
• Learn analysis of metals including mercury and wet chemistry testing (chlorine, fluoride).
• Learn analysis of facility samples and instrumentation (GC, IC, ICP).
• Shadow supervisor and technician; manage waste from analytical procedures; document data and validate accuracy.
