Carboline invites motivated chemistry students to join our 12-week Summer Internship in St. Louis. As a Chemist Intern, you will work alongside senior chemists on real-world projects focused on high-performance coatings, linings, and fireproofing technologies, gaining hands-on lab experience.

The internship runs May 17, 2027 to August 6, 2027, requires 30-40 hours per week and housing arrangements near St. Louis.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Available 30-40 hours per week May–August
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with lab instruments and testing procedures.
• Design, perform, and analyze experiments focused on high-performance coatings, linings, and fireproofing.
• Present project findings to peers, senior chemists and leaders.
• Maintain safety and quality in the laboratory and ensure proper handling of chemicals.
