Job summary

Spectrum is offering a paid, full-time internship in Charlotte, NC for students pursuing journalism, communications, English, or related fields. The 11-week program runs May 26 to August 6, 2027, with department projects and internship activities, plus mentorship and professional development.

Interns will contribute to customer service communications, content creation and editing, and cross-functional collaboration, gaining hands-on experience in telecommunications and corporate communications.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program.
• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Developing communications, newsletters and intranet pages for customer service intranet site
• Take content from a variety different functional groups across the company to synthesize and produce written content that is simple, easy to understand, and interesting to read
• Provide copy editing and peer reviews of learning interaction content
• Perform research within the organization to fact check content accuracy and to provide the most up to date information as well as to fix any grammatical mistakes or potentially libelous material
