Camp Hometown Heroes/Camp Reunite is looking for a fun, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to assist in our kitchen/dining hall experience for all of our camp programs. This individual will work with the Program Director/Executive Director to help serve meals to camp participants and staff, keep the dining hall clean, and wash dishes. Kitchen assistants will help provide leadership with volunteers and ensure everyone has a safe and healthy dining experience. Kitchen Assistants will be provided housing and three meals per day.

Dates: June 16th to August 1st.

Pay: $350 to $450 per week.

Responsibilities include:

1. Understanding and helping to implement the goals and mission of Turning Rivers.
2. Helping each camper have a quality, safe, inspirational, and enjoyable camping experience.
3. Ensuring food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
4. Washing utensils, plates, cups, silverware, cookware, and hotel pans, and storing them appropriately.
5. Sorting, storing, and distributing food and ingredients properly.
6. Maintaining appropriate food storage temperatures during serving and storage.
7. Disposing of all food and garbage after meals, especially expired or spoiled items.
8. Cleaning all kitchen and dining hall service areas, floors, and maintaining a tidy facility.
