Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company is offering Summer 2027 Information Technology Internship positions across SAP Technical, Infrastructure, Operations Technology, Technical Services, F&A Data Strategy & Reporting, HR Technology and GIS.

Interns will engage in software development, data integration/analysis, GIS data management and dashboard creation, collaborating with cybersecurity, networking and enterprise teams to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, or closely related field.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geology, or closely related field (GIS track).
• Proficiency in programming languages and data manipulation libraries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs other IT projects as assigned.
• Adheres to company values: integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
• Supports company vision and mission and maintains confidentiality.
• Development of new software applications; modify and enhance existing software for clients within time/quality metrics.
• Testing of software to ensure it meets requirements and designs.
• Active participation in scoping and design exercises with development, basis, and security teams.
• Work with senior staff to ensure code is managed according to source control strategy.
• Diagnose and resolve nonrecurring problems in Infrastructure projects: Cybersecurity, Networking, Enterprise/Operations Systems, End-User Services.
• GIS: digitize, process, and manage GIS data using ESRI products; produce maps and outputs.
• Data Integration: collaborate to acquire, cleanse, and integrate data into data infrastructure.
• Data Analysis: assist in data analysis to support operational decisions.
• Data Visualization: create dashboards/reports using Power BI or similar.
• HR Technology: assist with HR/CORPORATE apps design, development and deployment.
