Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding offers a 2027 College Summer Intern ENG - Structural & Aerospace Engineering in Pascagoula, MS, beginning mid-May, with the chance to gain hands-on experience in technical roles and potential future full-time employment.

Applicants must be 18+, enrolled in an aerospace engineering program, with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and available to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks. Background checks and basic requirements apply, including an adequate email address for communications.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age before the start of the summer intern program (Mid-May).
• Be enrolled in a degreed program supporting the company’s business requirements (typically Aerospace Engineering).
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (transcripts required).
• Attend a college/university in the fall following the internship.
• Complete a criminal background investigation, physical and hair follicle drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in technical or administrative positions within Ingalls Shipbuilding.
• Position may require access to shipyards and work sites, including ladders and varying postures.
• Selection based on bona fide business-related requirements.
