HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding invites talented students to join the 2027 College Summer Intern - Infrastructure & Sustainability program in Pascagoula, MS. This internship runs for 10 weeks with a 40-hour work week, offering hands-on exposure in infrastructure and sustainability projects tied to shipbuilding.

Interns gain experience in technical or administrative roles and may be considered for future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age before the start of the summer intern program (Mid-May).
• Be enrolled in a degreed program that supports the company’s business requirements. Typically in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (transcripts uploaded).
• Attend a college/university in the fall following the internship.
• Successfully complete a criminal background investigation, physical and a hair follicle drug screen.
• Work a 40-hour work week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer.
• An adequate email address is required when applying.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in technical or administrative positions and potential future full-time employment.
• Some engineering, technical, and waterfront positions may require access to shipyards and constructive work sites, including ladders and varying postures.
