Job summary

Philips in Plymouth, MN invites applications for an Intern - Advanced Manufacturing Engineer. This 3-month paid internship offers hands-on experience across manufacturing, engineering, and production within a new Philips CoE for medical devices.

You will work with a Product Industrialization team, gaining exposure to manufacturing operations excellence and lean initiatives, while developing practical skills for a HealthTech career.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed BS/MS in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Biomedical).
• Basic CAD, Proficiency in SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with statistical tools (Minitab, MATLAB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing innovative processes for existing and new products.
• Write and verify specifications; maintain process and product documentation; test and validate new processes and prototypes.
• Identify and solve problems in manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Create process experiments, collect data, and make data-driven decisions with the team.
• Assist in adopting new processes/technologies for production and R&D.
• Support continuous improvement of quality, delivery, and cost using lean methods.
