Job summary

PlanMember offers a summer internship at our Carpinteria, CA headquarters. Gain hands-on experience in financial services, learn from mentors, and contribute to meaningful projects with real impact. The 6–8 week program runs from early June to early August.

You will support projects, participate in training sessions, and collaborate with Operations, IT, Compliance, Sales, Investments, Marketing, Finance, and HR to build practical skills for your career.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
  • Junior or Senior standing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Project Support: assist in ongoing projects by researching, gathering data, and providing administrative support.
  • Learning and Development: participate in training sessions, workshops, and coaching programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaboration: work with team members and cross‑functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Problem Solving: contribute ideas and creative solutions to challenges.
  • Documentation: maintain accurate records and reports for projects.
  • Presentation: prepare and deliver presentations on project findings.
  • Ad‑Hoc Tasks: support supervisor with various tasks as needed.

Job description

As an intern at PlanMember, you will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the financial services industry and contribute to meaningful projects that impact our organization. This internship program is designed to provide you with valuable insights, and a chance to develop essential skills that will benefit your future career. You will work closely with our team(s), learn from experienced professionals, and be exposed to various aspects of our industry.

Salary Range: Starting salary is between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour, however, it is ultimately determined by the scope of the internship, the candidate’s relevant experience, credentials/certifications and internal equity.

The duration of our summer internship is 6-8 weeks. Generally beginning the 2nd week of June till the 1st or 2nd week of August.
