Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Tactical Autonomy Group invites Summer Research Program interns to help develop autonomous and robotic systems for real-world environments. You will work with engineers and researchers on algorithm development, software implementation, simulation, hardware integration, and field experimentation.

Projects span from foundational research to prototype deployment, with opportunities to tailor work to your interests and strengths while gaining hands-on experience in edge

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Aerospace, Electrical/Computer, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, MATLAB, Julia, or similar.
• Solid foundation in robotics, controls, estimation, perception/vision, ML, planning, or embedded systems.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to algorithm development for autonomous systems.
• Assist with software implementation and simulation tasks.
• Support hardware integration and real-time experimentation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to transition research to field tests.
