Job summary

Allegion is seeking a student/early-career engineer to collaborate with an international team on CAD/PLM solutions and enterprise process improvements in Indianapolis. You will help create and maintain process docs and training materials, and apply AI tools to drive data efficiencies across product information systems.

The role emphasizes learning best practices, updating data to standards, and building a foundation for growth within Allegion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Graphics Technology, Digital Enterprise Systems, or other technical field.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative in school or projects.
• Experience with 3D CAD Modeling and PLM software; Creo and Windchill preferred.
• Knowledge of Model Based Definition (MBD) is a plus.

• Develop, release, and maintain process documentation and training materials
• Leverage AI tools to evaluate processes and increase product data efficiencies
• Learn and evaluate shared best practices on product data software tools and capabilities
• Update CAD and/or PLM product data to comply with internal best practices and standards
• Deepen understanding in CAD modeling and product data management best practices
• Gain experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities within Allegion

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Graphics Technology, Digital Enterprise Systems, or other technical field
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative (e.g., school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on projects)
• Experience with 3D CAD Modeling and PLM software; PTC products (Creo and Windchill) preferred
• Prior knowledge of Model Based Definition (MBD) is a plus
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
• Effective listening, time management, and creative problem-solving skills
• A desire to learn, grow, and develop by working on projects impacting Allegion's business and customers

• Base hourly pay range: $25-$26, determined by experience and other factors
