Job summary

Allegion in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Summer Intern in Mechanical Engineering to contribute to projects that improve safety and security for customers and partners. You will work on Product Lifecycle Engineering tasks, participate in development discussions, apply structured problem solving, and learn best practices in engineering and the security industry.

The internship targets students pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree, with leadership demonstrated in school or work, Creo CAD

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related (Aero, Systems, Industrial).
• Prefer completion of Sophomore year by Summer 2027.
• CAD Experience (Creo is a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative (e.g., school clubs, team captain, resident advisor).
• A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business.

Responsibilities

Summer Intern – Mechanical Engineer, Colorado Springs, CO

As a mechanical engineering intern, you will be a part of a team delivering solutions for customers and clients that seek to streamline the way Allegion does business. Working on a team that works to solve business problems in creative and efficient ways, you will learn to think outside of the box, implement scalable solutions, and follow best practices of both the mechanical engineering and security industry.

What You Will Do

• Deepen your understanding of Product Lifecycle Engineering by sustaining the quality of current market products

Compensation

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Hourly Range: $25-$26. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
