Job summary

Hanes Companies, Inc. is seeking an HR Intern to support day-to-day HR operations at both corporate and manufacturing sites in Winston-Salem, NC. The role offers hands-on experience across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, training, and HR administration.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and prepared to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Travel to Winston-Salem is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing a career as an HR Generalist or HR professional.
• Ability to travel reliably to Winston-Salem, NC and work on-site Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Willingness to work in both a corporate office and manufacturing plant setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HR Managers with daily human resources operations across corporate and plant locations
• Support recruitment efforts, including posting positions, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting onboarding activities
• Maintain and update employee records and personnel files to ensure compliance with company and legal requirements
• Assist with compliance tasks related to company policies, employment law, and manufacturing safety requirements
• Participate in HR projects such as engagement initiatives and process improvements
• Gain exposure to HR practices unique to a manufacturing plant environment, including hourly workforce support

Job Summary
