Job summary

New York Life's Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) offers a dynamic internship experience in correspondence modernization. As a Summer Intern, you'll support two key priorities: creating client-facing samples and documenting standard practices to improve readability and consistency across Absence, STD, LTD, Life, and VB benefits.

Selected students will gain hands-on experience in business communications, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with subject-matter experts across GBS.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, English, Technical Writing, or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and Adobe tools is strongly preferred
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to make complex information clear, concise, and easy to understand
• Ability to create polished client-facing samples, presentations, and reference materials with strong attention to formatting, readability, and consistency
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities for standardization
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in Group Benefits products, including Absence, STD, LTD, Life, and Voluntary Benefits, and how correspondence supports the employee and client experience
