Job summary

Ankura is seeking a University Intern in the Forensic Accounting & Claims Consulting practice in Houston. The role offers exposure to first party insurance claim quantification, including business interruption and extra expense losses, and requires collaboration with teams from Consultant through Director levels.

You will work on data-heavy tasks, develop financial models, and learn to manage engagement data while supporting client delivery services in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Strong computer and data management skills with Excel, Access and Word.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational/time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality and teamwork.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design financial and accounting models quantifying losses on the policy holder's behalf.
• Prepare annual business interruption and property renewal values for various industries.
• Analyze financial statements and related documentation.
• Develop sensitivity analyses related to loss measurements.
• Reconcile claim amounts to accounting systems and insurers' calculations.
• Participate on multiple engagements with varying project size and scope.
