Job summary

Ankura's Summer Internship Program in Forensic Accounting & Claims Consulting (FACC) in Houston offers hands-on exposure to quantifying insured losses and building financial models. You will work across engagements with consultants through directors, gaining experience in fact-finding, data analysis, and client delivery.

As an intern, you will contribute to loss calculations, budgeting, and data organization while learning new skills and participating in social and volunteer activities

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Strong computer and data management skills (Excel, Access and Microsoft Word).
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and strong organizational/time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality and working within a team.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design financial and accounting models quantifying business interruption, extra expense, property damage, cyber, product recall losses including revenue and expense forecasting.
• Prepare annual business interruption and property renewal values for companies in various industries.
• Analyze financial statements and other pertinent documentation.
• Develop sensitivity analyses related to loss measurements.
• Reconcile claim amounts to accounting systems and insurers’ calculations.
