Job summary

Stfrancis is offering a paid full-time summer internship to work on I&C plant systems for nuclear power generation applications. You will design, document, and test I&C systems and implement hardware/software designs to meet specifications.

You will develop design documents, test plans, and procedures to verify requirements, and you’ll issue Field Change Notices for site modifications. The role is hybrid at the Warrendale facility, May–August 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, nuclear, or computer engineering.
• Completion of sophomore year of college.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and test I&C plant systems for nuclear station applications.
• Implement I&C hardware and software designs to meet specifications.
• Develop design documents, test plans, and procedures to verify requirements.
• Create and issue Field Change Notices to support hardware and software modifications at sites.
• Resolve technical issues during system design, implementation, and site commissioning/startup.
• Support manufacturing operations for procurement, testing, and integration during Software In-Loop and Factory Acceptance Testing.
• Assist field operations during site commissioning and startup activities.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management, manufacturing, vendors, and other departments impacted by I&C Plant systems design and development.

Compensation & Benefits

• Paid full-time summer internship from May to August 2027
• Hourly rate estimated between $25.40 and $29.00, dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills
• Hybrid remote/in-office work arrangement at Warrendale, PA facility
