Job summary

Landmark Builders, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in commercial construction. The program rotates between active sites and the home office, with most time spent in the field alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel.

By program end, you’ll be exposed to the full lifecycle of a project, learn scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field supervision, and build a professional network for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree program.
• Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) is a plus but not required.
• Ability to travel to local project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily construction reports, project documentation, and record-keeping.
• Participating in quantity takeoffs, pricing, and procurement of materials.
• Helping prepare and implement two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Assisting in the submittal and RFI (Request for Information) processes.
• Supporting weekly subcontractor progress meetings and owner/architect meetings, including capturing meeting minutes.

Position Summary:

Landmark Builders is seeking a Summer Intern for its office in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Summer Internship Program is designed to give college students hands‑on experience in commercial construction and is the first step toward a rewarding career as a Project Manager or Project Superintendent. Interns rotate between active construction sites and the home office, with most time spent in the field, learning alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel while contributing to real project work. Many former interns have gone on to launch their careers at Landmark, building on the skills and relationships developed through this program.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Support & Documentation

• Assisting with daily construction reports, project documentation, and record-keeping.
• Participating in quantity takeoffs, pricing, and procurement of materials.
• Helping prepare and implement two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Assisting in the submittal and RFI (Request for Information) processes.

Field & Team Collaboration

• Supporting weekly subcontractor progress meetings and owner/architect meetings, including capturing meeting minutes as needed.
• Contributing to quality control and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with Landmark standards.
• Performing occasional hands‑on field work and general labor to gain practical understanding of site operations.
• Maintaining open communication with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and other team members to keep projects on track.

Qualifications:

Experience & Technical Knowledge
