Job summary

The NBA offers a 10-week Summer Internship (June 7 – August 13, 2027) giving interns exposure to Facilities, Finance, HR, Security, Social Impact & Inclusion, and Social Responsibility. Interns will engage in project management, market research, forecasting, and communications, with professional development and networking across NBA affiliates.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program and entering Senior year.
• Majors listed include common business and communications fields.
• Proven project management and event planning experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading people or teams and coaching others.
• Experience with narrative-building, storytelling and social media engagement.
• Strong research and analytical skills and highly collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Support areas critical to NBA operations across departments.
• Provide data-based analysis to influence department objectives and metrics.
• Assist with event management for marquee NBA events (HR Summit, Draft, Summer League, All-Star).
• Co-manage staff or community initiatives across NBA and WNBA teams.
• Identify content and social media enhancements for campaigns.
• Develop department resources such as toolkits.
• Conduct field research on industry competitors and communicate updates.
