Job summary

The NBA offers a 2027 Summer Internship (10 weeks: June 7 – August 13, 2027) across NBA and affiliate leagues. Interns learn basketball business, engage in professional development, and work on meaningful projects in multiple departments.

Open to rising seniors and some graduate students, the program emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and collaboration while providing extensive development opportunities and networking.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program and entering Senior year in the academic year following the internship.
• Preferred majors include Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Digital Media, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Pre-Law, Psychology, Sociology, Strategy, or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular or community activities.

Responsibilities

• Support areas critical to NBA operations across departments such as Facilities, Finance, HR, Security, Social Impact & Inclusion, and Social Responsibility.
• Assist with project management, market research, analysis, forecasting, and planning of business outcomes.
• Support event management at marquee events and team visits.
• Co-manage staff or community-facing initiatives across NBA and WNBA teams.
• Contribute to content and social platform enhancements for marketing and partnerships.
