Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Rensselaer, NY invites engineering interns to join the Automation and Reliability Engineering teams within IO­PS Facilities & IT. This full‑time, onsite program runs May to August, focusing on maintaining and improving process control systems in a regulated biopharma environment.

Interns will review control systems, draft engineering documents, and participate in testing and troubleshooting while learning GAMP 5 practices.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an academic program pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and returning to school after the position.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in campus activities, clubs, sports, or work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn how equipment and control systems run reliably and safely; assist with design, improvement and maintenance of automation systems.
• Support process automation improvements, review control systems, and prepare design documents and test plans aligned with GAMP 5.
• Assess critical equipment maintenance needs and evaluate spare parts and rebuilds; collaborate with equipment vendors.
• Follow safety, quality, and gowning requirements in manufacturing areas and support manufacturing operations.
