Job summary

Fres-co System USA, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer intern for the 2027 summer program. You will assist the project team with administrative and engineering tasks on a construction project, and gain hands-on experience with CMiC and PlanGrid.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position designed for undergraduate students or current employees pursuing growth into management roles.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook is expected.
• Basic scheduling knowledge and CMiC applications understanding.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of construction administration processes including documents, schedules, RFIs and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job office setup.
• Assist in initial CMiC setup, Submittal Log Registry.
• Prepare and maintain Submittal Logs.
• Assist in PlanGrid setup to organize contract documents.
• Help manage progress photo documentation using PlanGrid.
• Enter RFIs in CMiC and distribute to team members.
• Prepare and maintain RFI Logs in CMiC.
• Post RFIs to Contract Documents and maintain as-builts.
• Update Material Procurement Log and help expedite material/equipment procurement.
• Support in compiling closeout documents (O&M manuals, As-Builts, etc.).
• Attend project meetings and help prepare minutes.
