Job summary

Father Nature Landscapes in Birmingham is seeking motivated students for a premier summer internship. Earn $15/hour, plus lodging or lodging stipend, and engage in ten weeks of full-time work on our staff, gaining practical, hands-on experience in high-end landscape projects.

Tracks include Operations, Design Assistant, Irrigation & Lighting, Project Management, Landscape Maintenance, and Landscape Construction.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student with at least one year of related coursework.
• For Design Assistant: three years of education with strong landscape design software background.
• Ability to access bulk yard, loading areas, and office spaces; perform outdoor work in summer heat.

While proven industry experience and comfortability with operating equipment and using hand tools is preferred, we warmly encourage students of all levels of experience to apply.

Application Requirements

• Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student with completion of one year of education in a field related to the landscape industry
• For the Design Assistant track: completion of three years of education with a strong background in landscape design software
• Ability to access and navigate our bulk yard, loading areas, office space, and other areas of our facilities
• Ability to perform physical work outdoors during intense summer weather conditions
• Strength, stamina, mobility, and ability to carry 50 pounds
• Ability to complete our prescreening process, which includes a background check and drug screening
