Job summary

Carroll Daniel Construction offers a College Internship designed to expose you to the construction industry. You will spend time in the office with a Project Manager and in the field with a Superintendent, gaining practical experience.

The program includes housing for interns where applicable, a focus on safety, and activities like site tours, mentorship, and networking to help you grow within the Carroll Daniel Way.

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Internship Program is designed to offer each intern the maximum amount of exposure to the construction industry during your summer with us. To accomplish this, we will have you spend half your time in the office working with a Project Manager and the rest of your time in the field working with a Superintendent. We intentionally conduct a 30-day informal review to make sure you’re getting the most out of your experience with us.

In addition to direct interaction with executives, we involve our interns in several company social events from white water rafting to rooftop yoga and more. Our program also provides housing for interns and offers unique perks and learning opportunities like Safety Ride-Along Day, Jobsite Tours, and #BuildingforBetter Day, a day dedicated to building a better community through volunteering and stewardship through Habitat for Hall County.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The majority of work completed on job sites is in an office trailer or in an existing structure. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.
