Job summary

Terracon is offering a 2027 Summer Intern position in the Industrial Hygiene - Environmental Department in Raleigh, NC. You will learn and perform field sampling, data collection, and report preparation with mentorship from experienced staff in a supportive, safety-first environment.

The program includes 40-hour safety training, online coursework, and cohort networking. You will gain hands-on experience in field and office settings, working toward progressively greater responsibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and BS degree in progress in a science or related field (environmental science, biology, chemistry, etc.).
• Ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree.

Responsibilities

• Travel as needed.
• Perform sample collection.
• Provide assistance to other field and/or office personnel.
• Assist professional staff on routine tasks.
• Be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
